EXPERIENCE 

1999-Present   Artist                   

-Exhibits in solo and group exhibitions as well as collections of museums and art centers across the United States and abroad in Japan, Denmark, Norway,
Turkey, Belgium and Poland                  
-Produces rich, 4-dimensional sensory installations, absurdist performances and immersive experiences that optimistically examine the clumsiness of human behavior                  
-Advocates and speaks on the value of a transdicisplinary practice and the power of cross-disciplinary problem solving                  
-Acts as a catalyst for Art to proactively address social inequalities and perforate barriers between and within communities                  
-Designs, invents and creates a range of sculptures, mechanisms, drawings, collages, prints and other works of mixed media art and design                  
-Fabricates objects for artists and designers including Joe Davis, Nari Ward, Ian Burns, Paul Demarinas, John Roach, Assembly Designs, Le Le Dom Designs, Beth Lipman, Bob Campbell,
Mark Zirpel, the De La Torre Brothers, James Rouvelle and Lili Maya

-Creates and Guides the current and future artistic programs (workshops, exhibitions residencies and outreach) at the school and exhibition space in Seattle.
-Serves as staff Liason to the DEAI committee of Board members and outside professionals.
-Working closely with all stakeholders on plans to greatly enlarge and enrich our targeted outreach programs serving Indigenous Artists and youth from underserved communities
-Collaborates with fellow directors and staff to develop and communicate our ever-evolving responses to the ongoing Corona Virus pandemic
-Reconceptualized the scholarship program from a purely merit-based process to include a need based avenue for applicants regardless of their progress along their development path
-Producing the most diverse program of teachers and artist in residence in the school’s 50 year history
-Engaged new partner organizations nationwide to recruit and support a more representative student body
-Organized and Co-Curated  an expansive series of traveling exhibitions examining multiple aspects of the school’s 50 year history in partnership with local, national and international
venues
-Supports development staff in identifying and pursuing relevant donors and grants to support expanded programs
-Manages with empathy a program and campus staff through a challenging shift to remote working and task shifting
-Laid Groundwork for several important permanent artworks to inspire creativity on our campus into the future

-Built a 1.1-million-dollar education program from scratch in 5 years that combines university classes, masters to introductory workshops and community and socially motivated
outreach programs that create a vibrant and supportive studio community                  
-Developed and managed a talented education support staff that has grown from zero to four personnel                  
-Created and administered a scholarship program that grants $200,000/year in financial aid                  
-Presented over 300 classes to over 2000 students a year, ranging from craft workshops on material and technical introduction to interdisciplinary and experimental thematic
investigations                  
-Partnered with the NYC Department of Aging to design a grant-supported program that teaches mosaics in under-served senior centers-Mentored an expanded and reconceptualized
program to teach bead making and professional development skills to low-income women                  
-Developed curriculum and manages relationships with over 120 university and  organizational partners around the world                  
-Designed and fostered a youth program which now works directly with four public and charter schools to provide innovative arts programming, as well as producing a series
of intergenerational workshops and camps where families can learn together                  
-Initiated future programs with partner organizations in various stages of development to  use the glass studio as a learning and healing environment for veterans, ex-cons,
and autistic youth and young adults  
-Generated groundbreaking interdisciplinary programing through partnerships with  museums (MoMA, the Met, Brooklyn Museum, The Museum of Math), technology centers  
(Pioneerworks, Shapeways, NYC Resistor), and cultural organizations (Brooklyn Public Library and both the Brooklyn and New York Botanical Gardens)
